The 2010 is a wellspring of Morello cherry flavor, its floral scents and anise notes driving right through the wine without getting tangled up in tannins. Clean, fresh and zesty, this is fruit-forward and delicious, ready to decant for roast duck.

24-10-2015 Vértice is success story

Unlike the Portuguese spirit, which experiences a traditionally voracious appetite for anything that is or sounds foreigner, we show the strange world of domestic wine an often chauvinistic attitude of those who, without any hesitation, know that no other wine in the world can even come close to the ankles of the majority of Portuguese wines. In no other sector of the economy is seen as nationalist phenomenon as in the world of wine and the primary sector. (...) One of the most vocal and that best portrays this pleasant reality is named Vértice, born in the heart of the Douro and in one of the most unlikely places for the affirmation of national sparkling wines. (...) Alijó is a high altitude area, where freshness reigns and where Celso Pereira, the driver of Vértice was to find the perfect vineyards for the project that has been held for more than two decades. Vértice and Celso Pereira are two inseparable names that today represent such dedication to the cause of Portuguese sparkling wines. Always well assisted by Pedro Guedes, the natural partner in this endeavor by sparkling wines coming out of Alijó...

The 2007 Vértice Millésime vintage is one of the most sought after sparkling wines from Caves Transmontanas, always guided by its balance and character.

By LA - InRevista de Vinhos, Fev. 2012, n.º 267

2007 Vértice Millésime has an intense but very elegant palate, with red fruit, apple jelly and biscuit flavors. With a very fine bubble in the mouth, a structured acidity and dryness allow for a strong a long lasting finish. (12%)

Iberian tasting competition

The 2005 Vértice Millésime vintage, a sparkling with a strong body, complex aromas and very refreshing, was highlighted during a competition for sparkling wines of Spain and Northern Portugal that took place last week in Galizia. Contrary to what the date might indicate, this is not an aged wine, since the degorgement was only made about one year ago and it is not until then that the real aging process begins. Very fresh, structured in the mouth and promising longevity, also shows the aromatic complexity that results from prolonged stage in contact with the yeast.
