The Vértice sparkling wines have invested in typical Portuguese Douro grape varietals from the high altitude town of Alijó. Assuring a careful production that starts from the planting of the vines to the storing of the bottles in the winery, the experienced winemaker, Celso Pereira, only allows the highest quality product year after year. The 2007 Vértice Millésime vintage is one of the most sought after sparkling wines from Caves Transmontanas, always guided by its balance and character.

2007 Vértice Millésime has an intense but very elegant palate, with red fruit, apple jelly and biscuit flavors. With a very fine bubble in the mouth, a structured acidity and dryness allow for a strong a long lasting finish. (12%)

The 2005 Vértice Millésime vintage, a sparkling with a strong body, complex aromas and very refreshing, was highlighted during a competition for sparkling wines of Spain and Northern Portugal that took place last week in Galizia. Contrary to what the date might indicate, this is not an aged wine, since the degorgement was only made about one year ago and it is not until then that the real aging process begins. Very fresh, structured in the mouth and promising longevity, also shows the aromatic complexity that results from prolonged stage in contact with the yeast.
